Many students get discouraged and even frustrated when reading books that are above their reading level. Having the wrong books causes them to simply sit in the book nook feeling defeated. Providing access to books they can read on their own will build their faith in their reading abilities. By donating to our project, you will not only be building students' independence and confidence, you will ultimately help to increase their love for literacy. In this rural area where the libraries are underfunded, it is unlikely my students will have access to these books other than at school. By helping provide these 232 interesting and age-appropriate books, these students will be set up for success long term.

About my class
