Flexible seating will help my classroom be reorganized to make it more student-centered. Students will feel empowered because they have the freedom to choose where they sit based on what makes them most comfortable and able to learn. This will naturally require students to be accountable for their own learning because they will need to think about what workspace helps them to learn the best. The wiggle stools and fidget chair bands that I selected will provide my students opportunity to move while working (without distracting others) which is essential especially for my students with ADHD and autism. Colorful stools and cushions will make the classroom inviting and welcoming and help students feel at home. The portable lap desks will allow students to sit anywhere in the classroom and work.
