It is imperative that my students all work together and support each other. I do a lot of team building activities with my students so they can get to know each other as individuals. Also, we work a lot of effective communication and collaboration to support everyone in their learning. This coming school year, I am excited to add novel studies as a means of development a strong community of learners. Not only will these novels foster a love of reading and develop effective reading habits in my student; the novels will also develop a strong community of learners who are supportive of one another as we study character development in each novel. "A Wrinkle in Time" is a novel with conformity and diversity as a theme. I can’t wait to read share this novel with my students.
