I work in a restorative justice, trauma informed STEAM high school on the west side of Chicago. My students are charismatic, intelligent beings who are eager to learn and succeed. They want to go to college and chase their dreams, but they need support systems to help prepare them to navigate the world outside of their community- a neighborhood plagued by poverty and violence and neglect. So, I hope I am that support system for them, and for that I will advocate and fundraise to help give them equal access to quality classroom spaces and resources for learning.

About my class
