Student Centered learning allows students to take charge of their learning and become more accountable. During center work they complete activities independently or with teacher guidance. Currently my students are using various areas in the classroom with make shift centers using bins and organizers I have had for years. Making the learning environment more organized is an essential component in motivating them. I have noticed when students are given different centers to learn concepts they better internalize what they learn. My students are more engaged in their work and less disruptive of their peers when the classroom environment is organized and inviting. The products that I have selected will help my students by giving them a more organized classroom that will foster an exciting learning environment. The carpet will give each student a space to focus their attention during group instruction. The carts will organize each learning center so students can easily find the materials needed to complete each activity as well as turning in completed assignments. By giving students an inviting and organized environment they are more excited about learning and more active in their learning.
