Our 6th and 7th grade students are sailing through learning. To make it smooth sailing on these rough seas, anchor charts support instruction and to move the student towards achieving success with lessons taught in class. Anchor charts also serve as a self-regulating tool for classroom expectations and routines. I chose both blank and graph chart paper for my classroom. I also chose ways to display them in the classroom, such as clear tape and push pins. Markers and yard sticks allow students to create neat and colorful anchor charts to display what they are learning. These anchor charts will allow students to learn to work collaboratively, as well as display what they have learned. Students can work together to decide the key points of a topic and display them in a fun, colorful manner. These anchor charts will be displayed throughout the unit in the classroom to allow the students to have reviews and reminders about what they have learned.
