My students are in need of a class set of Bouncy Bands and six "Wobbly" Stools to allow them to move and fidget while learning. My classroom is comprised of a variety of students who need the opportunity to move around while learning in order to fully absorb and apply the rigorous fifth grade content to their lives! Utilizing these objects will allow my students to focus on the material in a more creative, movement-oriented fashion. Allowing my students the opportunity to learn using these materials is something I feel they deserve, especially for how hard they work each day to meet their goals! The wobbly stools will allow my students to move and fidget in small group settings, where they are being asked to delve deeper into content and make connections to their personal lives. In addition, the bouncy bands will allow for each of my students to move and fidget in their seats while being asked to focus in a whole-group setting. I know that these materials will allow my students the chance to feel comfortable moving about, while encouraging them to focus and apply their learning.
