Rhythm is fundamental in my classroom and is found in every culture around the world. How we teach rhythm in the classroom varies greatly. My students learn rhythm in many different ways. The more variety I employ in my teaching methods equals the more students I can reach. My students will use the RockStix in the classroom to increase student engagement and foster creativity. Anything that I can do to make creativity flourish is time and money well spent. We will use the Rockstix during our unit of study on World Drumming and will present a program using the RockStix to parents at our school and for the fine arts program for our district.
