Flexible seating allows students a choice. Students learn to take charge of their educational study habits and emotional needs, and learn to make the choices that work best for them, which may change from day to day. During independent work time they may choose a location in the classroom that works best for them. I have traditional desks and also tables with optional seating choices for students to complete their work at, but having 2 standing desk options might be great alternatives for those little bodies who just aren't ready/able to sit while working. Educating young students is such an exciting world. Providing flexibility and comfort while promoting a love of learning is beneficial to a positive mindset.
