I will use these robot kits in to enable my students to participate in FIRST Tech Challenge robotics team competitions. The students will learn how to build, program and operate the robots. Building robots will give my students experiences that will develop their critical thinking, problem solving, collaboration, communication and relationship building skills that are highly sought after by employers and higher education. Building these robots will enable my computer science students to apply what they have learned in the classroom, making the classroom learning more meaningful to them. This will increase their chances of success in the curriculum and hopefully motivate some, if not all, of them to pursue careers in information technology.

About my class
