Learning to love to read involves being able to chose what to read. During independent reading time, it is so important that my students have books they love to read to grow their love of reading. Book choice is essential in classrooms where curiosity is valued. Students who have opportunities to choose their own books can dive deeper into favorite types of stories as well as topics they would like to learn more about this school year. My students love graphic novels and have devoured all I have. I'm excited to add new titles like Berrybrook Middle School and The Babysitter's Club.

About my class
