My students currently have outdated books that no longer meet the more rigorous science standards. I always try to incorporate real world experiences in my teaching and these tools and teaching materials will make this possible. At the beginning of each school year we always teach a lesson about germs and I can’t wait to use the Glo Germ Experiment Kit to be able to show my students the germs they leave behind! These activities will provide hands on learning experiences so students can see how science effects our lives. Geography is a big part of both our science and social studies standards. I have chosen a globe, compass and learning centers to help students see a tangible representation of these topics. I am most excited to use the weather station. This item will let students monitor the weather with actual weather tools to better understand. My students love learning by doing and science is the perfect opportunity for them to be creative and think a little deeper by exploring and experimenting.
