Oklahoma Academic Standards for 7th Grade Science focuses on energy, photosynthesis, chemical reactions and processes, populations, food webs, ecosystems, human consumption of resources and climate change. Students will document their findings through writing, documentation of data and how they can help the food desert they inhabit. Experiential learning provides a quality real-life experience allowing students to gain academically, socially, and emotionally as they cooperatively work together. As well, residing in food deserts, nutritional gains can be experienced as they will be able to eat the fresh produce they grow themselves.

About my class
