My goal is to have a classroom with higher engagement and student motivation. I feel that I can obtain this with flexible seating options. These options will allow for students to complete their work while burning off some of their extra energy. "Studies suggest that children who participate in short bouts of physical activity within the classroom have more on-task behavior, with the best improvement seen in students who are least on-task initially." - M. Mahar The students are, and have always been, the focus of my goals. I truly feel that with these flexible seating options in our classroom, I can help guide instruction with more success. Teaching is all about adapting and this is what I am doing for my students, adapting to their needs- with your help!
