These books will allow the excitement for reading that we inspire in the classroom to spill over into life after school hours. Students will have opportunities to have shared literacy learning opportunities with family members. Each month children will receive new books to add to their home libraries along with ideas to make the most of their daily reading routine. Families will have the necessary materials to start daily reading routines with their 3 year old children. Children will have opportunities to listen to beloved stories over and over again with family members, developing important literacy skills. Discussions that occur during these reading sessions are valuable ways to develop language and vocabulary skills.
