I believe it is important to teach students to make choices for themselves. Giving students the ability to choose a seat that helps them focus more is just a small thing that can make a huge difference. Currently, my students enjoy sitting on the carpet, in rolling chairs, and on stools. My students are more engaged when they are able to sit in a comfortable area of their choosing. My hope with this project is that I can offer more diverse seating arrangements for my students. I would like to add yoga balls, wobble chairs, and wobble cushions for students that need to release some energy and move around while they work. I would like to add floor seats and pillows to make floor seating more comfortable. I am also asking for another set of stools for table seating.
