We are a Title 1 Elementary School & Science Magnet with limited funds. With technology and the internet, there is access to research and countless simulations for use in the elementary science classroom. By using Chromebooks, I can expose students to simulators or research projects to enhance the lab experience while improving their computer skills. With Chromebooks, students working in pairs will learn to cooperate in completing assignments, navigate the web for research and use simulators to complete labs that could not be done in the traditional classroom or lab setting. Simulators and research will prepare students to pursue further scientific study. The goal is to raise science grades in Kindergarten through 5th Grade, with an emphases on 3rd through 5th Grades, preparing students to move on to Middle and High School Magnet schools in the district.
