If my students have access to Chromebooks, we will be able to do more student-centered learning activities that will allow students to work at their own pace and that will also allow me to differentiate their content to fit individual student needs. Using tools such as Canvas and Google Classroom on a daily basis where students are actively engaged in their learning would provide me with more opportunities to utilize student-centered learning and technology in a meaningful way. Some of the features that I would like to use more with students are discussion threads to encourage more students to participate in class discussions as well as Google Forms for quick formative assessments to check for student understanding and even prior knowledge before we begin units of study.
