I am looking to create a learning environment that houses a multitude of different learning styles. This will included everything from an organized individual student mailbox system, to small group math centers and stations, to whole group learning activities. My students are noticeably more engaged in the mathematics when they have a variety of learning styles available to them. The whiteboards, erasers, and markers will be used in a variety of ways in the classroom. There will be times when the whole class is using them for quick and easy review of a concept, but will also be used for individual students to use during small group time with the teacher. The small index boxes will house task cards and practice problems to be used during stations time when students are working both individually and in pairs to apply a new learning concept. The mailbox system will be used for individual student growth and will house extra practice materials for students.
