Students appreciate sharpened pencils when asked to journal their thinking, create and write stories or letters, answer math problems or to simply show their learning. Pencils are used throughout each and every day in every subject taught. They also need to be sharpened often in order for students to be able to form their letters and numbers without difficulty. This is important during first grade while students are solidifying their alphabet and number writing skills. Sharpened pencils and the ability to sharpen pencils is an important piece of the classrrom! Please donate and support my students in reaching their potential!
