Students are in grades 9 through 12. Some students are 18-21 years old accessing the transition program. All students have special needs and are serviced based on their individual education plans. Students are diagnosed as having intellectual disabilities, cerebral palsy, down syndrome, and severe autism. In our classroom, we focus on real-life skills and experiences to help students be successful citizens in the community. We have a daily "Live and Learn" class, where we cook recipes, fold laundry, complete daily chores, work on fine/gross motor skills (tie shoes, zip, button), and brushing teeth or washing hands. These skills help our students learn and practice independence!
