Quality math instruction requires that students see problems modeled, hear explanations, share their strategies, and engage in math conversations. I am requesting a document camera with microphone so I can model problem solving strategies and so students can quickly share their thinking and problem solving with the class. I am also requesting an all-in-one printer/scanner/copier and ink so I can save copies of student work to share with the other classes. Having a document camera and printer will allow me to model my thinking and will provide students with an opportunity to share their thought processes and successes. I will also be able to enlarge examples and model manipulative use . As they follow along with my modeling, they will be actively engaged with math!
