Our students love scooters. Every time I pull the scooters out, the classes reacts with extremely vocal enthusiasm. They know that the activity will be interactive and creative. The scooter games give them an outlet not only for their physical activity but for their imaginative spirit as well. Although we play several games using scooters, our students end up having to share. This means that the enthusiasm and participation is affected by those waiting their turn. The ones that we currently use are really worn out. The wheels stick and the students have a lot of trouble using them. I started the position as PE teacher at my school in 2012 and they were worn out then. This can be frustrating for both me and the students and I can only imagine how excited they would be to each be able to participate. On top of that, to have enough and them all in working condition would be amazing.
