Children these days are given a device before they are given a puzzle or coloring book. In my classroom, they will learn ways to use this technology and others in a safe and educational way that will draw them in and keep them engaged. One of the best feelings is to starting a story, from scratch, and watching that story emerge into something amazing after proofing, editing, having a friend proof, editing, having your teacher proof, editing, typing it up, adding images and publishing it to share with all your loved ones! I want to give the feeling of pride and ownership to my second-grade class. I also want to use these Chromebooks to enrich our reading and math centers. I would also use these as an added resource for English Language Learners and Special Needs Students. So many different and amazing things I could do with 6 Chromebooks!
