I believe that when a space is inclusive and cle arly defined, students can be inspired to try their best because they feel a sense of pride in their learning. Students tend to feel safe and comfortable when given their own space with a set of clear expectations for themselves and their peers. Our time on the carpet gives us an excellent opportunity to have more in-depth conversations and concentrate on our learning targets. Presently, students feel squished together, leading to wiggly bodies, unnecessary disruptions, and smooshed fingers! A new carpet would help to structure our daily routine and give us a safe and comfortable space for more focused learning!
