These centers will help my students, who are learning two languages have concrete examples for counting and letter recognition. In the math centers we will use the math center box, the counting box, and the count and link. These centers will use concrete items to help them learn number recognition, concrete skills in adding and subtraction, and also will help with shapes and geometric figures. The specific centers and what the will be used for! Math- Early Math Instant Learning Centers. Is specific centers for math that will help build number sense. Counting Boxes is a box of centers that will give them opportunities with manipulatives to learn basic number sense and one to one correspondence. Count and Link-is a manipulative that links together to help students count the links. It will solidify one to one correspondence and number sense. Literacy- Phonemic Awareness Instant Learning Centers- is a group of centers that will build sounds. It will provide them with activities to build words. I Can Build Simple Words- is a group of centers that will build sounds. It will provide them with activities to build words. Alphabet Stamps - Lowercase/Uppercase- These are stamps that will help students to recognize letters. With these new centers, my students will be able to choose from a variety of center that will allow them to read and solve math problems independently at their own grade level. They will also be able to choose centers that interest them. The best way to increase reading and math ability is to read and practice math more, and these centers will continue to help my students grow stronger in reading and math. My students already have shown an astonishing interest in independent reading, and this project will only help enrich their experiences with the printed.
