Learning as we move is essential to a kindergarteners' learning modality. My kindergarten students need access to items like kinetic sand, Magna tiles, building sets, etc. By exposing young students to items of this caliber, their higher level thinking and critical problem solving skills will improve dramatically. My kindergarten students need the chance to explore to foster engineering and creative processes. Hands-on experiences are crucial to keep them thinking and exploring. Not only can these materials be utilized with an open-ended concept, but also can be adapted to meet cross curricular needs, objectives, and standards within the kindergarten core. These materials will reach and impact future kindergarten classes for years to come.
