My students need a structured, designated personal space when we meet for morning meeting, shared reading, calendar math, and group discussions. The current carpet we have is older and is the original carpet from when the school opened 16 years ago. It is blue with no individual spaces as well as frayed and curled up on the edges which makes it a tripping hazard. We need a new classroom carpet! We use the carpet daily for turn and talks, quad pod discussions, and read alouds. It's important that my students have a clean carpet with colored squares to help them reach their potential of becoming life long learners.
