Students will use digital microscopes to view slides, then draw, color, and label what they see - then glue their sheets into their interactive science notebooks. Microscopes are a great way to focus students on science. Drawing what they see, and keeping them in interactive notebooks, helps them to remember what they've seen and helps them to apply the knowledge to the world around them. The enthusiasm and wonder my students have when they see hair or skin cells under a microscope is so exciting and rewarding...they can finally "see" the importance of the cell cycle and make some sense of the content I teach them!
