This will be my first year teaching and I am trying to collect basic classroom necessities to ensure that my students have everything they need that is conducive to a positive learning environment. I want to focus on creating positive relationships and meaningful learning experiences with my students and I believe this will be easier if I am confident that our classroom has the necessary supplies for daily activities. I have included composition and graph notebooks so students are able to reflect on their progress throughout the school year in different subjects. I have included folders, pencil pockets and a literature sorter to organize student work. Additionally, having a classroom set of materials including: pencils, markers, crayons, glue, scissors, paper and other essentials will ensure that student's creativity will never be thwarted due to a lack of resources. Furthermore, not only will the support provide me with a sense of relief, but it will also help my students feel prepared as they begin the school year. I am hoping to provide my students with all of their school supplies within the first week of school so neither the students nor the families feel burdened by any expenses. I feel that it is important to create a classroom where students have access to materials that enhance their learning and do not feel disadvantaged due to a lack of resources. I would greatly appreciate any support in my efforts. Thank you in advance!
