Every student deserves to choose how they learn best. I feel it is my job as a kindergarten teacher to show students how to be responsible with their choice of where they get to sit in class. I each student to be able to choose where he/she sits that will benefit him/her the most. To do this, they need to first figure out what kind of seating they learn best with. They then need to learn to be responsible for their own learning and choose an appropriate place to sit for the day. Some students learn best while sitting in a stationary chair, others need to constantly move in order to pay attention. My goal is to create a flexible seating environment for these students and to teach them how to be responsible with their freedom of choice.
