I am requesting the book titled "Hey Black Child" because February is the month to encourage the students to celebrate the skin their in. Likewise assisting the students with understanding that they can be whatever they dream and aspire to become in life as long as they try! The book teaches positive self-esteem and empowerment to young students through high-impact, easy-to-remember rhymes. The entire book is a poem designed to bolster the self-esteem of children, especially children of color. Its message of boundless opportunities and the potential of children is displayed on every page.
