Today's students often struggle with organization and focus. This year I had a few flexible seating options in my classroom, but not enough for every child to enjoy on a daily basis.We all struggled to find the space and storage we needed for our supplies. As a teacher, I want to be able to provide my students with a classroom environment that is organized, functional and fun!! The zenergy bounce chairs, wobble seats, and yoga ball chairs I've requested would allow every child access to some type of safe alternative seating. They help students channel some of their extra energy, and even improve focus! Not to mention they help with posture and strengthening their core at the same time! The numbered pocket chart and rolling storage bins would give each child quick access to their books, headphones, devices and classroom supplies. We use cell phones and iPads for interactive lessons and games, so it is important that students can access them quickly, but still be able to put hem away to keep them from becoming a distraction. The plastic report covers would be used for students to keep data notebooks and track their progress in different academic areas. They will also keep personal goals and plans to achieve them in their data notebooks. The dry erase clipboards I’ve requested will be used for quick math fluency activities, and also to make writing easier on the go or in different spots in the classroom! Last, but not least, the adjustable floor seats will be placed in our reading nook to allow students a comfy spot to curl up with a good book. Each of these items will be used daily and will help create a bright and inviting classroom that all students can look forward to learning in each day!
