Students can become fidgety during longer lessons. We have students who need to move to a different part of the room in order to "reset". Others may not have many choices throughout the day but choosing where they will work can be helpful for this group. Having flexible seating in my classroom will provide options for students who may feel too fidgety or may need an opportunity to reset. This type of seating may assist them with self-monitoring techniques. Since all students are different, providing seating options meets the needs of the individual. Standing desks are also good for completing projects as a group. I am excited about all of the possibilities and opportunities for my students!
