Each day my students are given 20 minutes to spend on a program called DreamBox Learning! During this time, students are given opportunities to work on a variety of math skills on his/her level. The website is very neat and includes audio pieces for the students to listen to. These audio pieces consist of music, instructions, and games. The students become much more engaged when they are able to listen to the full effect of DreamBox. My students really enjoy this time, but not all of my students are able to have headphones to enhance their experience while on the program. Currently, I only have 8 sets of headphones in my classroom. My dream is that all of my students would be given the opportunity to have personal ear-buds to use whenever they would need them for DreamBox and also other activities! If this project was to be funded, it would help in so many ways! Allowing students to have their own personal set of ear-buds would help in the area of hygiene for each student and would also create a more flexible and attainable learning environment. All students could be focused at one time and would not have to worry about sharing headphones! Any donation would be greatly appreciated by both myself and my students! The success of my students, and the learning environment in which I provide them, means the world to me!
