My students need a new carpet for our whole group lessons each day. They need a comfortable and spacious area to come and work together. This carpet will allow my students a change of scenery and get them up and moving in the classroom. 3rd grade students have very short attention spans and I do my best to offer change and diversity in the classroom to keep things interesting. Moving lessons to the carpet area allows the students a new location to learn and a break from sitting at desks. They can also work more easily together and learn collaborative skills as the year goes on.
