Currently, my classroom has traditional desks and chairs, most of which are somewhat broken. We are working toward a more collaborative initiative where students are able to utilize all areas of the classroom environment. Moving to a flexible seating arrangement allows my students to more easily work cooperatively and collaborate with their peers. The flexible seating arrangement creates a learning environment where students are comfortable and able to use their energy for creative solutions. We also are in need of bookshelves to make the materials and books more accessible to the students in a safe manner. Our current bookshelves are over 6 feet high and could be potentially unsafe. We also need books bins and a 12 slot plastic organizer on wheels.
