In first grade students begin to learn how to read and a comfortable inviting environment will allow them to do so. The students will be able to move away from their desks and relax in a comfortable space in the corner of the classroom. The Reading Nook will provide a incentive for them to want to read and enjoy their own time on the carpet and bean bags. I will also be able to sit with the students individually and listen to them read and monitor their comprehension and fluency. This Reading Nook will bring a new excitement to our classroom.

About my class
