This past year I had an awesome group of students. The year before that was my roughest year to date and I was contemplating leaving the teaching profession. This past year got me excited and ready to stay until I retire. Over the course of this past year, I realized I need to do thing to re-energize myself so that I do not experience burn-out. I have been taking 4 college courses and just ran across this 40 Hour Workweek Teacher's Club. It sounds like just what I need to stay energized, relaxed, and happy. They provide teachers with one skill to focus on each week to reduce the number of hours they are spending doing their job. Basically it teaches us to work smarter not harder. Currently, I am spending approximately 80 hours a week working. I would like to become more efficient and reduce those hours.
