I would like to add calming lighting and a variety of cool down items to help students more easily regulate their behaviors when they come into my room. Changing up what students experience with their senses helps them to more quickly regulate their behaviors. By adding softer lighting, calming music and sounds, fresh scents, and a variety of cool down items, I hope my room will be exactly what our students need to help them get back in control when they have flipped their lids and need a safe space to regulate their feelings.
