I am writing this project for a classroom rug so my students will have a comfortable place to sit during read alouds and whole group instruction. Being uncomfortable will make it harder for my students to stay focused on what it is I am teaching. The rug will also be used as a flexible seating where students can go to sit to do their independent and center work. I also am asking for some different wobble seats to add to my flexible seating options. Some students need to be able to move constantly to stay focused during instruction and these seats will allow them to move in a way that does not distract their peers from also learning.
