Hands-on experience is the best way for my students to learn real world skills like counting money. What seems like something simple to adults, is brand new and often confusing for my students. Learning the names and value of the coins is often overwhelming. My kids need storage containers to help them organize the play money they practice with. Keeping their supplies organized will help them spend less time struggling to find the right coin and more time actually counting the money. The same idea applies to magnetic letters. My students love using them to build words, but they lose a lot of valuable time fishing around in buckets for the letter they need. More organization will equal less stress and more learning for my kiddos!
