My students need technology that is easy to use and updated. Tablets will allow the students to use learning apps that are fun and engaging, increase fine motor skills, and reinforce concepts we are learning at school. Most of my students don’t have any access to technology at home, but are expected to use it fluently in Kindergarten and beyond. With new technology, students can learn the skills that will help them in an ever increasingly digital world. They will not only have support in learning their basics from the games and apps on a tablet, they will learn technology skills that will help them in Kindergarten and the rest of their school careers. Pre-K is all about getting a child ready for school, and without technology, a big part of their schooling is missing.
