Students need to have a group of books readily available that not only meets their interest needs, but ability level as well. These book boxes will ensure students are using their time efficiently, therefore building reading stamina. As students prepare for work time, they will take the book box, they assembled, to their special reading spot. Having several books on hand will eliminate the need to get up during reading time. One of my class goals this year is to create INDEPENDENT readers who LOVE to read! Allowing students the time, place, and resources to fall in love with reading will make this process go more smoothly.
