I am a new computer teacher. We are creating an organized, safe, fun technology environment in a new classroom. As students enter the room each day a staff member must apply sanitizer in each students hand before being seated at a computer. We are trying to simplify the process by adding a self sanitizing station so they can quickly be seated and maximize time in computer lab. This classroom is in need of the essentials (cleaning supplies, desk supplies, decorations etc.) Let's make it easier to Go Wild About Technology! It’s important to eliminate germs with the amount of student traffic through this classroom daily. Organization is also important! By using index cards, card organizer and tab labels it will help to store passwords the students will be able to find their information quickly to sign on the computers and be able to utilize their class time to its fullest. Post it notes are utilized daily by students for quick password jotting or website/research notes. Another organization opportunity is with headphones, we are in need of a curtain rod to keep extra headphones from getting tangled. The request of a label maker is to be able to number label the computers for easy assigning and identifying for teacher/students/technology tickets for issues. With the use of expo markers they will be able to have whiteboards nearby to utilize while testing (whiteboards were available last year, however expo markers were not). The scented ink pads will be utilized in a stamp incentive to encourage kids to do their best.
