I have chosen a variety nonfiction books with the help of my current students. I asked them what kind of books they wished the could have read while doing their science projects and they continually listed off books about wildlife and other natural world occurrences. It was exciting to see that what they had written down was almost all nonfiction book subjects. I asked them why they wanted these kinds of books and some of my students responded, "Ms. Perry I like to learn about real life stuff.". I was thrilled to hear that they couldn't get enough when it came to informational texts that relate to science. These books will help my students be exposed to all kinds of science topics that they normally wouldn't learn about at home. My students are so excited to read because most of them don't have this opportunity at home. These books will be used to expand the minds of younger learners and aid them in their science growth and help continue their curiosity.
