My students need keyboards so that they are able to learn how to play the piano. At our elementary school, we have a program called student interest groups. Every day students have the opportunity to learn about something they are interested in. One of the offerings I am offering is Little Pianists, where students will be able to learn piano basics and develop a love of music. My students will need to know how to keep a rhythm, learn note names and where they are, and basic music theory. Having these keyboards, I am able to put two students on each keyboard so that more students are able to use the materials. Students will be able to show creativity through music, develop perseverance, and learn how to work together. Through this piano student interest group, my students will develop a love of learning that will help them in whatever area they choose to concentrate on.
