I have stations to get kids up and moving in math class. By providing different arrangements and styles of seating may help some students who prefer to stand or sit on the floor. Math is typically a class where the teacher talks the whole hour and then assigns homework at the end of the hour. My classroom students are actively engaged in station work with groups of students. I want my students to work in teams because most of the work force thrives on collaboration and teamwork. Students will be able to choose from balance balls, lap desks, tables, or stand up desks if this project is fully funded. Right now I have my classroom in different stations but all the stations are just using normal classroom desks.
