Our students with special needs work in a regular education classroom and in a resource room each day. My students are functioning below the second grade level in both math and reading. All of my students are diagnosed with a disability and laptops would allow my students to have various types of accommodations during their instruction and learning. My students work best in small groups with a facilitator to guide them during reading and math instruction. Laptops would allow my students to use text to speech features, contrast modes, apps and websites to help students with special needs. Working on laptops would allow me to integrate technology into my instruction and allow my students to practice reading and math skills through games and engaging videos.
