I am requesting a set of iPads for students to use in small group settings. With the iPads, students will be able to access online tools such as virtual apps where students can view sound wave and magnetic field simulators. They can also take virtual field trips to destinations discussed in class, such as the Poverty Point Mounds and historic places from the American Revolution. I believe this would increase student success and interest! In class, my students often create and test their own experiments as groups. However, some of the topics covered are harder to create visuals for. Using the iPads, students can see things like water vapor molecules being blown by wind, falling to land, and running off into bodies of water.
